Since it was a bank holiday I was dragged (kicking and screaming) to the DIY shop in order to choose a new kitchen (we’re moving – more on this soon!). Seriously, what is it with us Brits and the desire to spend our bank holidays doing DIY??
But as compromise this afternoon was spent with the dogs. In nature. In the quiet. And it was bliss. 2 hours of walking through fields and ambling through an old graveyard (I know it’s ghoulish but I’m fascinated by such things).
And I was reminded of this Mother Teresa quote:
“See how nature—trees, flowers, grass—grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls.”
Something to think about this week…
Lovely images, so much the English Country side. Out walking the dogs in nature is a wonderful way to spend the day. I’m heading out shortly with mine.
Mmm. I love quiet times in nature. I need silence and solitude in order to recharge and nature always speaks to me. Beautiful pics!
